Neurodevelopmental Assessment Service

The aim of this service is to provide Neurodevelopmental assessment services across Norfolk and Waveney.<br/> <br/>The ambition is for the ICB to be able to ensure families can access independent providers, as part of using the NHS Choices Framework, whilst ensuring excellent clinical quality and patient experience.<br/> <br/>The service will provide a multidisciplinary assessment to confirm diagnosis of a neurodevelopmental condition/s compliant with NICE Guidance and DSM-5 Criteria.<br/> <br/>This will include:<br/>• An initial triage tool that screens for both ASD and ADHD.<br/>• A neurodevelopmental assessment and diagnostic service, tailored to the needs of the individual child, which is compliant with NICE guidelines (CG128 and NG37).<br/>• Interactions which will take place in settings and environments that are suited to the young person’s needs.<br/>• Subject to clinical expertise and where agreed between the commissioner and provider, a drug initiation and titration service for individuals where treatment is indicated, that is in accordance with NICE Guidelines (NG87).<br/>• Feedback and advice to children, young people and families including post-diagnostic information or support.<br/> <br/>The Commissioners are keen to receive feedback on the proposed service specification.<br/> <br/>The aim of this Expression of Interest is to;<br/>1. provide the market with visibility of the proposed opportunity;<br/>2. support the ICB decision making to inform the future commissioning of services (as applicable);<br/>3. to help define the future service approach, model and timelines;<br/>4. to gauge the level of interest from the market of capable providers with capacity across the region to deliver the services noted above.<br/>5. Invite interested Providers to attend a Market Engagement Event on Tuesday 27th February 2024.<br/> <br/>A further advertisement will be issued at the appropriate time. You will not be disadvantaged in any subsequent process if you choose not to respond to this market testing process, but the Commissioner wishes to understand your views. The deadline for Soft Market Testing responses is by 17:00 hours on 23rd February 2024. <br/> <br/>Registration to attend the market engagement event closes 17:00 hours 26th February 2024.<br/> <br/>Please note this is a market testing exercise and does not commit the ICB to carry out any further procurement process. Current services will remain in place during this period in line with existing contracts and service level agreements.
