The MyEnds programme intends on utilising a hyper-local approach to address needs in neighbourhoods across the capital that are most affected by high and sustained levels of violence. The core model endorsed by the VRU for this programme is based on the empowerment of communities, recognising the critical role and collective impact community stakeholders have in local violence reduction initiatives. Fifteen boroughs had been shortlisted as eligible for MyEnds 2.0 based on analysis of areas which were consistently rated highly on a range of violence and public health indicators. VRU Area Prioritisation Tool identified areas (at ward-level) that have values within the top 15% of wards in London over a substantial period (from 2018-2023). Based on this listing, the 15 boroughs with the highest-scoring wards were shortlisted. Eligible Boroughs were: Islington, Croydon, Lambeth, Hackney, Enfield, Haringey, Lewisham, Southwark, Tower Hamlets, Camden, Brent, Greenwich, Newham, Barking and Dagenham, Waltham Forest.
