These interventions are to be delivered per district or countywide.\nLot 1 - Intervention 1a - Courses designed to increase confidence with numbers for those needing the first steps towards formal numeracy qualifications - Engagement activities\nLot 2 - Intervention 1b - Courses designed to increase confidence with numbers for those needing the first steps towards formal numeracy qualifications. - Non-accredited numeracy courses.\nLot 3 - Intervention 2a - Courses designed to help people use numeracy to manage their money -Engagement activity\nLot 4 - Intervention 2b - Courses designed to help people use numeracy to manage their money - Financial Literacy courses including money management.\nLot 5 - Intervention 3a - Innovative numeracy programmes delivered together with employers – including courses designed to cover specific numeracy skills required in the workplace - Engagement activities.\nLot 6 - Intervention 3b - Innovative numeracy programmes delivered together with employers – including courses designed to cover specific numeracy skills required in the workplace - Non-accredited numeracy courses.\nLot 7 - Intervention 4a - Courses aimed at people who can’t apply for certain jobs because of lack of numeracy skills and/or to encourage people to upskill in numeracy order to access a certain job/career - Engagement activity.\nLot 8 - Intervention 4b - Courses aimed at people who can’t apply for certain jobs because of lack of numeracy skills and/or to encourage people to upskill in numeracy order to access a certain job/career - Non-accredited numeracy courses.\nLot 9 - Intervention 5 - New intensive and flexible numeracy courses targeted at people without Level 2 maths, leading to a Functional Skills Qualification - No Year 1 delivery as enough AEB to meet need\nLot 10 - Intervention 6a - Courses for parents wanting to increase their numeracy skills in order to help their children, and help with their own progression - Engagement activities\nLot 11 - Intervention 6b -  Courses for parents wanting to increase their numeracy skills in order to help their children, and help with their own progression - Non-accredited numeracy courses\nLot 12 - Intervention 7a - Numeracy courses aimed at prisoners, those recently released from prison or on temporary licence - Engagement activities.\nLot 13 - Intervention 7b - Numeracy courses aimed at prisoners, those recently released from prison or on temporary licence - Non-accredited numeracy courses\nLot 14 - Intervention 8a - Numeracy courses aimed at those 19 or over that are leaving, or have just left, the care system - Engagement activities.\nLot 15 - Intervention 8b - Numeracy courses aimed at those 19 or over that are leaving, or have just left, the care system - Non-accredited numeracy courses.\nLot 16 - Intervention 9a - Numeracy activities, courses or provision developed in partnership with community organisations and other partners aimed at engaging the hardest to reach learners = Engagement activities.\nLot 17 - Intervention 9b - Numeracy activities, courses or provision developed in partnership with community organisations and other partners aimed at engaging the hardest to reach learners = Non-accredited numeracy courses.\nLot 18 - Intervention 10 - Additional relevant maths modules embedded into other vocational courses - Non-accredited numeracy courses",

    "description": "Kent County Council (the Council) is the largest local authority in England covering an area\nof 3,500 square kilometres. It has an annual expenditure of over £1bn on goods and services\nand a population of 1.6m.\nThe Multiply Programme was announced by the Department for Education in April 2022 –\nbeing part of a range of initiatives that aim to boost adult skills. The programme is for 19+\nadults who do not have a GSCE at Grade 4 (or equivalent) and aims to help people improve\ntheir ability to understand and use maths in daily life, home, and work – from household\nfinances, to helping children with homework, to making more sense of the facts in the media\nand improving employability / job prospects.\nFull details of the Multiply programme can be found in the Multiply Investment Prospectus:\nhttps://www.gov.uk/government/publications/multiply-funding-available-to-improvenumeracy-skills\nKent County Council is looking to appoint Suppliers through a Dynamic Purchasing System,\nto provide this service.
