The aim is to enable them to receive personalised care in the community, closer to home, to reduce preventable and unhelpful admissions to CAMHS inpatient services and acute hospitals and reduce the number of delayed discharges within inpatient services. In addition, this service aims to reduce the need for children and young people to be accommodated in high-cost social care placements, social care placements that are far away from their local area and reducing the potential for multiple placement breakdowns.
