The two Schools share the same kitchen, which currently has an in-house catering provision, this being the first time that the contract has been put to competitive tender. The kitchen is large and whilst it currently only services the onsite Schools, in previous years it has been the hub kitchen for a delivered meal service for up to three other local Schools. The governing body would, in principle, consider the re-establishment of the kitchen as a hub for a delivered meal service to other Schools, subject to an appropriate business case being made. Lyndon Green has a Forest School. A forest school is an educational model where children learn through hands-on, child-led play and exploration in a natural environment, such as a woodland. It is a long-term, holistic approach that emphasizes the development of self-esteem, confidence, and problem-solving skills through supported risk-taking in a regular, sustained contact with the outdoors. This is different from one-off nature trips, as it is a process-based philosophy that happens over an extended period. Our school values are at the core of everything we do.
