What is being bought
This Contract is for the following services: -Collection, transportation / haulage and final disposal and/or recycling of approximately 23,000 tonnes per annum of Residuals / Sludge Cake from NI Water and NI Water Alpha Water Treatment Work sites, as detailed at section 2.1 and 2.2 of this specification. - Recycling of Residuals / Sludge Cake, where possible, via a fully approved environmentally certified recycling route(s) or disposed of at a Northern Ireland Environment Agency approved and certified disposal site. - The estimated volumes of sludge to be disposed / recycled of per annum depends on production requirements, weather and drying. - There shall be no guaranteed minimum or maximum volume of residuals / sludge per annum available for disposal and/or recycling under this contract. This Contract is divided into the following two lots: - Lot 1 – Disposal and/or Recycling of WTW Residuals from NI Water Sites and Lot 2 – Disposal and/or Recycling of WTW Residuals from NI Water Alpha Sites. Economic Operators can tender for more than one lot and can be awarded more than one lot.
