Further information can be found on the Lewisham Council online planning portal (https://planning.lewisham.gov.uk) reference DC/24/136933.\nThe refurbishment works consist of but not limited to:\n•        Asbestos removal and necessary remediation works\n•        Removal of disused internal escalator\n•        Structural reinforcement to third floor\n•        New insulated flat roof\n•        New insulated external cladding\n•        New windows and curtain walling\n•        New HVAC, small power, lighting, data, plumbing, security, and life safety systems\n•        New roof-mounted ASHP & PV panels\n•        Replacement of existing passenger lift and refurbishment of existing goods lift\n•        Internal layout reconfiguration including new solid & glazed partitions and doors\n•        New central stair\n•        Replacement of existing toilets and new café\n•        New internal finishes, flooring, ceilings, and decoration\n•        Bespoke joinery and Fixed FF&E\n•        New IT infrastructure\nContract period:\nAnticipated 12-14 months construction starting March 2025, with a further 12 months’ defect rectification period.\nProcurement process:\nThe contract will be procured by a Single Stage open tender process, assessed 45% Cost, 45% Quality, 10% Social Value, leading to the appointment of a contractor under JCT Standard Contract with Contractor Design Portion. This tender is due to be advertised late November 2024"
