It contains primary, secondary and special academies and is highly inclusive and successful. LAT is keen to secure a high quality cleaning service whereby students at their academies are able to enjoy excellence in education, supported by excellently kept facilities. LAT expects high levels of productivity to be delivered by the cleaning staff at all times, plus a tightly managed service that is delivered via a management style that supports, encourages and develops the cleaning staff. The academies are keen for a body of cleaning staff that feels ‘part of the academy’ where the contractor is tasked with developing this academy level relationship at both staff and management level. Each academy will work to a baseline specification. Bidding contractors will then be asked to cost a suite of ‘additional extra’ cleaning items which each school can then choose whether to add to their specification or ‘call off’ on and as needed basis.
