EXPESSIONS OF INTEREST FOR THE SUPPLY AND SUPPORT OF HIGH CAPACITY MANET RADIO EQUIPMENT Expressions of interest (EoI) are requested from interested parties for the supply and support of battery powered high-capacity MANET radio equipment. The equipment shall provide a means of reliably transmitting and sharing real time video and telemetry data over encrypted links between a number of nodes, one of which will be soldier mounted, in a camera system. The camera system may contain up to 3 HD cameras which are used to identify targets at range and a number of Remote Ground Sensing (RGS) nodes which feedback to an Android based command and control platform. Note: Identification of an individual is considered to require 350 pixels over a 1.7m target. The equipment shall be able to be easily updated with programmable waveforms as required by the operational scenario. The equipment shall be light weight, compact, rugged, and able to operate in environments from desert and jungle through to temperate and arctic and capable of being transported using a combination of foot and road, sea, or air platforms as defined in Def Stan 00-035. Product details, Technical Data Sheets and other supporting material considered necessary by interested parties to clarify the Technical Readiness Level of what is available will be acceptable and shall be treated in the strictest confidence. As part of the assessment of bids the Authority shall involve its scientific and technical research facility, DSTL, to provide a technical assessment of the suitability of the equipment. Please respond through both of the following not later than Friday 19 May 2023 • The Defence Sourcing Portal (DSP) • MULTIUSER Account Reference : DESIBOC-OVB2-MANETRADIOS@mod.gov.uk In the case of businesses not registered with the Defence Sourcing Portal responses should be to the MULTIUSER account only. In the event this requirement extends to a formal procurement all interested parties shall be contacted further with pre-qualification documentation, details of the strategy proposed and supporting timescales. Only companies having attained or willing to attain the Authority’s security requirements for this type of work shall be accepted for participation in any future activity which remains subject to approvals and funding.

Comparable-procurement analytics

Benchmarked against retained Find a Tender procedures with CPV division 32. The category anchor is Radio receivers (32344200); this is a deliberately broad market comparator. The comparison is shown at several levels rather than pretending one company or region is always the best benchmark.

“Reported bids” is an official aggregate, sometimes reported per lot; it is the closest available competition measure. “Named award suppliers” are winners, not all applicants.

Price-outcome signal

Not enough comparable procedures currently publish both a GBP tender value and a usable lowest-valid-bid value to calculate a responsible price-reduction benchmark. Tenderline deliberately does not infer a saving from named award suppliers or from missing award values.
