The data will provide independent verification of the inventory. The contractor will monitor, at a minimum, the gases listed in the UNFCCC guidelines for reporting under the Paris Agreement, and in addition, CFCs and hydrogen. They will use the data to infer Northern Hemisphere background concentrations and UK emissions; geographical distributions; and where possible, disaggregation of emissions by source sector. The supplier will implement an iterative, continuous programme of improvements, and will work towards annual UK emissions estimates for hydrogen.
