The government’s Pride in Place Programme (was Plan for Neighbourhoods) will see up to £5billion given to nearly 250 areas across the UK. Each area will receive up to £20million of funding and support over the next 10 years to make long-term improvements that residents want. Torquay is to receive just under £20million of this funding. In the summer of 2025 conversations were had with a significant amount of community groups in how to spend this money over the next decade. This helped produced a vision for how to spend the money and key themes to focus on based of community feedback.
