The Digital Skills for the Workplace pilot project was developed in September 2020 as part of the Department for Education’s (DfE) Digital Bootcamps pilot. The Liverpool City Region (LCR) was one of just six areas nationally to trial the skills training aimed at helping participants to find jobs in the growing digital and tech sector and help employers to fill digital skills gaps in their business. LCRCA has recently secured a further £1.2m funding from the Department for Education to deliver Digital Skills Bootcamps across LCR which are part of the Government’s Lifetime Skills Guarantee and Plan for Jobs initiative and therefore extend the LCRCA Digital Skills for the Workplace to 31st March 2022.
