We understand this is a complex issue to solve and we need to work collectively to achieve this aim. This contract will be part of that whole system approach. We will be focussing on understanding the complexities, working in partnership with the people we support, and taking a strength-based approach so that the people we support can achieve real change in their lives. Objectives for the Homelessness Day Shelter service 1 The Council has identified the following objectives which will underpin the Service: • individuals who are homeless or in immediate risk of becoming homeless will have access to an ‘independent’, safe and supportive daytime facility where their immediate housing and health and wellbeing needs can be assessed and appropriate action is taken to start to address these • the support provided will be short-term and based on assessed needs.
