Coverage: 0 active published awards; 0 bid reports (which may be per lot). Supplier values exclude multi-supplier awards, frameworks and DPS, and use GBP only. They are published award values, not payments. Published-to-award variance compares single-lot, single-award, single-supplier GBP procedures with explicitly non-framework/non-DPS status; increases remain in the average. Unpublished data stays unknown. Awarded suppliers are winners, not all bidders.

What is being bought
In preparation for a forthcoming procurement opportunity, Essex County Council would like to invite organisations to participate in a series of market engagement events in relation to the delivery of day opportunities to support individuals within the following cohorts:
• Transitions (16 - 25 year olds)
• Learning Disabilities and/or Autism
• Physical and Sensory Impairments
• Older People
• Carers respite
Please note that the aforementioned cohorts are likely to present with a range of social care needs and there may be a degree of overlap in the requisite support to meet their assessed social care needs and individual outcomes. The Council intends to structure the corresponding procurement opportunity in lots which are aligned to the support options for these cohorts. However, the Council reserves the right to refine the scope of this procurement following the market engagement events for this project. The final scope of the procurement including the use of lots will be published in the corresponding Contract Notice prior to the formal launch of this procurement opportunity.
Prospective providers are invited to attend the initial market engagement session for this project which is scheduled to take place on Thursday 27th April between 10:00 and 11:00 and will be conducted online via Microsoft Teams.
During this event, the Council will present an overview of the commissioning strategic vision for day opportunities provision in Essex including insight from the current provision alongside feedback from clients and current providers regarding the opportunities and challenges of utilising outreach support during the emergency phase of the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, attendees will have the opportunity to discuss their ideas, views and suggestions for this service with commissioners and members of the project board. To reserve a space at this event please e-mail:
joshua.Stevens-Ward2@essex.gov.uk
by 17:00 on Friday 23rd April 2021. Prospective providers are advised that this event is intended to form the initial market engagement session in relation to this project and the Council will publish details of future sessions via separate notices in due course.
