The LiteTouchSystem (LTS) tips are the only compatible tips recommended by Mettler-Toledo for their Rainin pipettes that have been previously procured. Alternatives have been reviewed previously however they have been found to be a substandard fit on the Rainin Pipettes. This would lead to inaccurate test results, assay failures and resulting in the cost and time wastage of diagnostic operation. In addition, Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust has been accredited by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) for performing at the laboratory process for which these pipettes are used. According to UKAS the tip designed and identified specifically for the Rainin pipette should be used.
