Coverage: 0 active published awards; 0 bid reports (which may be per lot). Supplier values exclude multi-supplier awards, frameworks and DPS, and use GBP only. They are published award values, not payments. Published-to-award variance compares single-lot, single-award, single-supplier GBP procedures with explicitly non-framework/non-DPS status; increases remain in the average. Unpublished data stays unknown. Awarded suppliers are winners, not all bidders.

What is being bought
NI Water has had an active leakage control policy for many years. It has in place a Leakage Business Plan to take forward leakage activities. The level of leakage has been reduced from 291 Ml/d at March 2002 to 163 Ml/d at March 2017. As per the Utility Regulator’s PC15 determination for the period from April 2015 to March 2021 it is proposed to reduce the level of leakage by 12 Ml/d. The Sustainable Economic Level of Leakage (SELL) was reviewed in 2013 and the updated figure of 159 Ml/d is to be achieved by March 2019. An integral part of the PC15 plan is to go below the SELL by 6 Ml/d and reduce leakage to 153 Ml/d by March 2021. It is recognised that external assistance in detection activities will be required for the next 6 years to meet targets in relation to both leakage reduction and maintenance. Through this Contract Northern Ireland Water intends to supplement existing in-house resources for the detection of the unreported leaks in the water distribution network.
