The services are required across two separate National Grid business units: • National Grid Electricity Transmission (NGET) • National Grid Electricity Distribution (NGED) Suppliers should note that NGET and NGED operate as separate business units and may have differing operational requirements, governance arrangements, systems, processes, standards and reporting requirements. The anticipated term of the framework will be a 4-year initial term with 2 two-year extension options upon mutual agreement. The services shall support National Grid in fulfilling its duties under the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 (CAR 2012), including the duty to manage asbestos, and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, Approved Codes of Practice and Health and Safety Executive (HSE) guidance. The appointed supplier(s) shall deliver services on both a planned and reactive basis, supporting routine maintenance, refurbishment, demolition, emergency response activities and wider capital projects. All works shall be carried out in full compliance with the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 (CAR 2012). Suppliers shall maintain all necessary licences, accreditations, insurances, permits and environmental registrations required to deliver the services. They shall ensure that all personnel are suitably trained, qualified and competent and that services are delivered in a safe, proactive and risk-based manner.
