What is being bought
The London Borough of Hillingdon (the Council) is looking for two (2) suitably qualified contractors for an adaptation service for people with disabilities, which includes vulnerable & the elderly in accordance with the Employers requirements. Works will include: ● Level access showers ● Over bath showers ● Specialist toilets ● Kitchens ● Internal/external doors ● Door widening ● Minor internal works ● Patio installation/levelling ● Fencing Consisting of both private ownership & tenanted properties all of which will be grant funded works in accordance with the Housing Grants, Construction & Regeneration Act 1996, or as amended. In addition, the Contract extends to all disabled adaptations work to Hillingdon's housing stock as well. Areas are defined by the postcode which in simple terms defines Lot 1 - Area North postcodes: UB9, HA6, HA5, HA4 and UB10 and Lot 2 - Area South postcodes: UB4, UB3, UB7, UB8 and UB5. The Council intends to Award contracts to different Contractors for both Lot 1 - Area North and Lot 2 - Area South. All bidders must price for both Lot 1 & Lot 2. The London Borough of Hillingdon retains the right not to award both (Area A) and (Area B) to one single contractor. If the highest ranked bidder is the same for both Lot 1 - Area North and Lot 2 - Area South, the Council will nominate one (1) Area (Lot) of its choice to that Contractor with the 2nd highest ranked bidder recommended for the remaining Area (Lot). The contract Period will be for 4 years plus an option for a further two years extension subject to performance and LBH approval. (4+2) JCT Measured Terms 2016 with Amendments (the Contract). The commencement of this contract will be April 2023
