Adult and Young People Substance Misuse Services

This Prior Information Notice is to inform providers about the London Borough of Newham's intention to recommission an integrated drug and alcohol treatment services for adults and young people. With the responsibility for implementing the National Drug Strategy: From Harm to Hope, on a local level, our aim is to support individuals in achieving lives free from drug and alcohol dependencies, while also reducing potential harms to both the individual and the community. To achieve this, the remit of the integrated drug and alcohol treatment service will include provision of clinical and psychosocial interventions through early intervention, prevention, treatment and recovery support in line with The National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) and current clinical guidelines. Interested providers are invited to attend a virtual Market Engagement Event on Tuesday 29th August 2023. The service is expected to commence delivery on 1st July 2024 (an implementation period of 3 months will precede the start date) and will run for 5 years with the possibility to extend for further 2 years (1+1). The Council anticipates that the tender will be publish in late October 2023.
